Proverbs 22:7

Proverbs 22:7 reads: “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”

Weather you are a follower of Christ or not, these are powerful words of wisdom. If it makes you feel better you can say you got the advise from George Clason’s classic “The Richest Man in Babylon”.

Simply put, when you barrow money from someone you are not obligated to pay that money back are working to meet that obligation until your debt is paid off. Therefore, as the barrower you are now working for the lender and are an indentured servant until your pay off your debt to them.

So with that concept in mind, who do the people of the United States owe money too due to the National debt we have allowed our representatives to incur, From Reuters report:

  • China: $906.8 billion
  • Japan: $877.4 billion
  • United Kingdom: $477.6 billion
  • Oil exporters, which include Ecuador, Venezuela, Indonesia, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Gabon, Libya, and Nigeria: $213.9 billion.
  • Brazil: $177.6 billion
  • Hong Kong: $139.2 billion
  • Caribbean banking centers, which include Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Netherlands Antilles and Panama: $133.7 billion
  • Russia: $131.6 billion
  • Taiwan: $131.2 billion
  • Canada: $125.2 billion
I tried to do a search and find who, if anyone, owes the United States money and could not find any official number. Some claim Isreal (that I can believe) and most central American countries, but nothing official.
So maybe we should wake up and realize that the Untied States is no long a nation of the people, for the people. In reality we are now a nation of slaves, for the foreign lenders. As long as we have a national debt owed to foreign nations we can not be a free nation.

  1. I guess all the money that the US gave to other countries, to help them in times of disaster andd so on was never considered loans. We are just supposed to “give” without expecting anyone to pay us back. We are always bailing some other country out! When will our government learn?

  2. Unfortunately liberals get the easy job of handing out money and then they turn around and make conservatives look like the bad guys when we tell them we have no money to give.

The worst part is that I saw a report that we gave China over a billion dollars in aid a couple of years ago. We borrowed that money from China. So the federal government borrows money from China, then gives it back to China and the American people are stuck paying the interest on the loan. What a scam.
