Why God Won’t Go Away: Is the New Atheism Running on Empty? by Alister Mcgrath is another book on the subject of the debate in pop culture between Atheists and Christians. I have been a fan of Mr Mcgraths for sum time now, having read some of his other books and watched some of his interviews, so my expectations where high when I decided to read this book. Fortunately he did not disappoint.
Alister Mcgrath goes chapter by chapter and step by step through the debate and how each side argues their point. He hits all the major points and leaves you with thoughts to ponder each time.
The author writes in a very sterile academic fashion, but not enough to put you to sleep. His depth of knowledge comes through his writing and the reader comes away feeling more informed.
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about the debate. No matter which side of the debate you fall on you will find your side represented fairly.
