For those not familiar with the 10 planks of the communist manifesto, the 6th plank reads “Centralization of the means of communications and transportation in the hands of the State.”
We can all agree that the FCC has managed to secure government control over communication and with Harry Reid pushing for a stronger SOPA bill to be passed if the Democrats win majority back in the house, the progressives can check that off their list. But then there is the harder goal of controlling transportation.
It’s easy to see this administrations push for “high speed rail” and other forms of mass transportation as their attempt to control transportation, unfortunate for them Americans still like to control their own transportation and all forms of mass transportation have proven to be a failure so far.
So how do they over come the free will of the American people to drive their cars where ever they want to or to jump on plan and visit any other state in the union? At this time we can see that their plan may be to make it too expensive for the average American to drive their cars:
(CNSNews.com) – So far, during the presidency of Barack Obama, the price of a gallon of gasoline has jumped 83 percent, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
And some people are saying that we should expect that trend to continue even higher as we enter the summer. Good thing for the progressives that President Obama has stopped the Key Stone pipe line project from supplying the country with more Canadian oil so that we have to ship in the oil from the middle east.
Then today I saw a news report that shows how they are taking away the option of air travel from the average American:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. airlines in 2011 operated the fewest number of flights since the hijack attacks on New York and Washington depressed air travel and accelerated the industry’s worst-ever financial downturn, government figures on Tuesday showed.
So as you can see, the plan looks to make air travel both too expensive (fuel costs and bag fees) and uncomfortable (TSA anyone?) for most Americans to make use of it. This will eventually force Americans to accept mass transportation and then the progressives can check this off their list of goals.
Either resign yourself to government care and vote for the Democrats this November, or take back our freedoms and vote with the Republicans this year. We are running out of time to fight back, today is the day of salvation.
