This is why the Democrats lost in 2010 and will loose in 2012.

I am getting tired of the whole budget debate that is going on in Washington. We face yet another deadline tonight or face the dreaded government shutdown. But if you look under the hood of the rhetoric you find the reason to why the Democrats have been loosing the war of public opinion.

“Republicans want to shut down the government because they think there’s nothing more important than keeping women from getting cancer screenings. This is indefensible and everyone should be outraged,” Reid said on the Senate floo (source).

The fact the Senator Harry Reid even thought that this was a good thing to say out loud, or even to think in his head, shows how far out of touch he is with reality. The fact that he may even believe that statement scares me. No rational person would think that a political party would want to keep women from getting cancer screenings, this is just good old fashion fear mongering.

Don’t even get me started on Rep Louis Slaughter, “”In ’94 people were elected simply to come here to kill the National Endowment for the Arts. Now they’re here to kill women.”” (source)

Are these people serious? But go ahead Democrats, keep up the rhetoric, it is making you less and less electable.

Obama starting to act like a conservative, just in time for elections

I love the hypocrisy of progressives, they know the majority of Americans are conservative so they always turn toward the center right when it get close to election time.

The AP posted today that “President Barack Obama will call on Congress to pass new tax breaks that would allow businesses to write off 100 percent of their new capital investments through 2011, the latest in a series of proposals the White House is rolling out in hopes of jump-starting economic growth ahead of the November elections.” I wonder if the Dem-sheeple will back this tax cut for the rich?

Of course I will hold passing final judgement until I see the bill that he says will accomplish this policy, but my one question for the president would be “why did you wait until election time to do what the conservatives have been suggesting since the recession began in 2008?”

Do not be dismayed my progressive Dem-sheeple friends, President Barry is looking for more repetitive spending and the creation of more redundant bureaucracy, NYT: ” President Obama, looking to stimulate a sluggish economy and create jobs, called Monday for Congress to approve major upgrades to the nation’s roads, rail lines and runways — part of a six-year plan that would cost tens of billions of dollars and create a government-run bank to finance innovative transportation projects.”

Again we will have to wait to see the actual legislation for this policy, but why do we need to create a new government bank to administer redundant spending? Didn’t the holy stimulus bill include funding for roads and other infrastructure projects? Why do we need $50 billion more debt allocated?

More proof that progressives have lost connection with reality and continue to think that the American people are unintelligent and short minded.

Where have these freedom fighters gone?

If it was not ok for the Republicans to use reconciliation then why is it ok for the Democrats? This is naked HYPOCRISY in action. Is this not proof they will say what ever they need to in order to win?

Do not take this as condoning the hypocrisy of the Republicans, they are just as wrong. But we need to set the record straight, is reconciliation constitutional or not? This way no matter who is in the majority or the minority we have a base set of rules to go by. The constitution does not change depending on who has the majority.

Thank you Massachusetts!!

Being from New York, and being a Yankee fan from birth, I never thought I would appreciate anything that the far left state to my right…but let me give it a try. Thanks to the voters of Massachusetts the Democrats will have to talk to a Republican in order to get their bills past. Now the health care debate can begin.

Congratulations also to Senator Scott Brown and his campaign staff for standing up to the norms of a blue state and running a successful campaign. Now do what you said you would do and do not become a run of the mill politician and let Washington corrupt you.

Why are Democrat, Liberals and Progressives ok with healthcare bribes?

This is an open question to any democrat, liberal or progressive that is willing to try and defend what is going on with the current federal government. When you see “deals” being made to get votes for a bill, is that ok to you? Is that a morally honest way to do business with in the federal government?

Now this is a question for anyone else that wants to chime in. When did it become ok for politicians to offer bribes in order to get the votes needed to pass a bill? I may disagree with the last version of the healthcare bill that was made available, but if the majority of senators or representatives in congress thought it was the consensus of their constitutes to vote for it, I would live with it. But when it takes special “deals” for a specific district or state in order to get that senator or representative to change their vote in favor of a bill, that is a BRIBE! And the last time I checked, bribery is still illegal.

Now, maybe I am wrong. Correct me. Don’t say that the Bush administration or some Republican controlled congress did the same thing, they may have but does that make it morally acceptable to you for the current administration and congress to offer bribes for votes?

Chris Matthews has come out of the closet

Chris Matthews has officially declared himself a communist on national tv and no one cares, what is wrong with this country? If a person declares himself a communist do you think he can really be impartial when reporting news about the success of a capitalist republic?

Lets also not look past Bernie Sanders agreeing with him, should a declared communist be allowed to serve in public office?

Hypocrisy exhibit A – Nancy Pelosi

I wonder what would make her change her mind on this issue… oh ya, she’s in charge now. Wouldn’t it be great if politicians said what they meant and meant what they say.

I would have to agree with the 2005 version of Nancy Pelosi and say that a bill should be available for all Americans to read for 3 business days before it can be voted on. All parts of the bill should be opened on the floor for debate before it is included in the bill. And finally, only the things that pertain to the subject of the bill should be included in the bill, that means no hate crime definitions in a defense spending bill.

Are those points too much to ask for?
