Obama, making sure his friends get paid

It is now common knowledge that General Electric pays either nothing or very little in federal income tax on the profits it makes. It is also common knowledge that Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of GE, is on the President’s job council and regularly advices the president on business. Crony capitalism is alive and well in the Obama administration.

Not long ago another billionaire businessman snuggled up to the crony in chief, Mark Zuckerburg was seen meeting with the President on numerous events. Today I came across an interesting story:

Even though Facebook (FB) reported $1.1 billion in pre-tax profits from U.S. operations in 2012, it will probably pay zero federal and state taxes—and even receive a federal tax refund of about $429 million—according to a Feb. 14 statement from Citizens for Tax Justice. (source)

I guess it pays to make friends with Obama. Of course this takes money away from the Federal budget and causes our deficit to be at record levels, but who cares about deficits when you can count another billionaire as your friend.

If anyone really thinks Obama is for helping the middle class and wants to take from the “evil rich” to spread the wealth around, you are lying to yourself. Look what the President is doing for spring break, playing golf with middle class hero Tigger Woods. Michelle was so happy about it that her and the girls are in Colorado skiing.

President Obama does not care about the middle class. He does not care about the poor. He definitely does not care about the United States of America. All he cares about is himself. President Obama is just another selfish politician that will say what ever you want to hear so that you will cast your vote for him. He does not care if you are struggling to pay your bills, as long as he gets to rub elbows with famous people like Tigger Woods, Beyonce and Mark Zuckerburg.

Got a letter from the Obama campaign, how disgraceful this campaign is.

Just got an email from Jim Messina from BarackObama.com. It contained a link to a survey that allows people to let the administration know what is important to us. Image my surprise (sarcasm alert) when I saw this question:

Which constituency groups do you identify yourself with? Select all that apply.

  • African Americans
  • Americans Abroad
  • Arab-Americans
  • Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders
  • Educators
  • Environmentalists
  • Healthcare professionals
  • Jewish Americans
  • Labor
  • Latinos
  • LGBT
  • Native Americans
  • People of faith
  • People with disabilities
  • Rural Americans
  • Seniors
  • Small business owners
  • Students
  • Veterans/military families
  • Women
  • Young professionals
  • Youth

This list does nothing but show that this president wants to separate us into little groups he can offer graft to in order to get our approval. He cares nothing for the American people as a whole, only as individual special interest groups.

This administration has been the most divided administration since Lincoln. I see no change in the next 4 years and I fear he will tear us apart.

Obama acting like a conservative?

Must be getting close to election time, the President is acting more like a conservative. It happens every time we get closer to election time, politicians act more like conservatives because they know we are the American majority.

Here is the action of the President that I am talking about. It has been a conservative idea for a long time that we need to give tax breaks to companies to encourage them to move jobs back to mainland America, what is the President’s “new” idea? “Obama Calls for Tax Breaks to Return Jobs From Abroad“. This story is from the NYT:

WASHINGTON — President Obama said on Wednesday that he would propose tax incentives for companies to bring home manufacturing jobs they had moved overseas, and curtail tax breaks for those that keep relocating jobs abroad.

Does this mean he will finally admit that high corporate taxes are causing American companies to outsource jobs over seas? Of course not. But if he thinks tax incentives will bring jobs back wouldn’t you think the truth would finally dawn on him. I have hope that it will some day.

There is also the story out today from WaPost “Obama to propose combining agencies to shrink federal government“, what? Is he going to admit that the federal government is too bloated and is wasting money by having redundant departments? Probably not, it would go against his ideology and cause his head to explode if he was confronted with so much truth. Honestly, as long as he goes through with these proposals I don’t care what he admits.

The truth is that every politician knows that the majority in America are conservatives and they need to make themselves look as conservative as possible come election time to draw at least the moderates to their side. If the liberals and progressives where the majority we would see more government take over of industries during election seasons, which we never do. You won’t see the president run on the success of Obamacare in October because he knows the majority of Americans don’t want government take over of healthcare.

If the conservative majority just realized we have the power in America still we can get the dirt bags in Washington to do the right things with that power. Send a strong message in November by only voting for those that have either demonstrated consistent conservative voting record or are new politicians that run on conservative values. I don’t care what party they are in, if they fit either of those criteria they will get my vote and they should get yours.

2012 is the year of the Dragon in China, but it is the year of the Conservative in America.

Why are Democrats not opposing the President on “recess” appointment?

From the HuffPost we get this story:

WASHINGTON — In a bold move sure to infuriate Republicans and possibly draw a court challenge, President Barack Obama announced Wednesday that he will use his executive power to bypass Congress and put Richard Cordray in charge at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

It is well with in the power of the President to appoint people to federal positions when the congress is not available to vote on those appointments. But this is not what President Obama has done here, even the President’s cheerleaders at the HuffPost note what he has done wrong:

Obama is making a recess appointment when the Senate isn’t technically in recess — a risky step that could spark a court challenge.

Of course it should spark a court challenge, it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL! But what I would like to ask is, why are Democrats not stepping up and stopping him from doing this?

Unless Democrats believe, that beyond all reasonable understanding of politics, they will be the party in the White House for ever, why are they allowing Obama to set the standard that the President can appoint people without congress’s vote no matter if they are in recess or not.

Each party has allowed the president, as long as he was in their party, to expand the powers of the executive branch. All though I believe term limits for congress is the first step to correcting the mess in Washington, rolling back the powers of the executive branch is step two. We need an executive branch that only has the powers granted to it by the constitution, and NOTHING MORE!

Democrats, stop allowing the DNC to abuse it’s authority just because you don’t want to hurt their chance to “win” an election. Demand honest politics from your party. This goes for Republicans also.

Hopefully this is evidence the President is finally listening.

November 2, 2010 the American people voted, and in doing so, sent a message to Washington, DC. I believe we are seeing signs that the president heard that message.

In the past the President has tried to sink more and more money in to the socialist housing administration called Fannie Mae, and it’s ugly friend Freddie Mac. Not long ago, January 2010, Obama and the treasury department tried to write a blank check to fund those failed services. It was a bi-partisan effort to stop that from happening, but it was the President leading the efforts to not only pour more of our money down the drain of Fannie/Freddie, he was going to pay bonuses to his friends in charge of those departments of over $2 million.

Then the people spoke November 2010.

On CNN Money today: “The Obama administration on Friday officially unveiled its plan to remake the mortgage market and reduce the government’s role in housing finance by winding down Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.”

“…”We are going to start the process of reform now, but we are going to do it responsibly and carefully so that we support the recovery and the process of repair of the housing market,” Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said in a statement.” It good to see that they want to start reform now, even though people like Ron Paul called for reform 7 years ago, but the Democrats stopped the reform and we got the housing crash.

unfortunately the president’s plan is to phase out the funding over the next 7 years, you know… so that a Republican president will have to deal with closing the doors of Fannie/Freddie instead of doing the hard work himself. I guess he is learning from Clinton, pretend to be center and push responsibility to the next president, then hope it makes you look good.

So, is this the beginning of the President’s re-election propaganda push, where he pretends to do what the majority of Americans would like him to do? or, will he promise things that he will not deliver on as usual?

Or better yet, has the president woken up to morning in America?

You have to love the administration of “change”

Yet again, the Barack Obama White House demonstrates that they have no intention of changing politics in Washington. After filling most cabinet and advisory posts with Clinton retreads or Wall street bankers, he does it again. Lets see if this sounds like someone you would hire to change politics in Washington…

New White House cheif of staff William M. Daley is first the son of a former Chicago mayor and brother of the out going mayor of Chicago, good family roots that show a motivation to change the political system. He is currently the top executive at JPMorgan Chase, where he is paid as much as $5 million a year and supervises the Washington lobbying efforts of the nation’s second-largest bank. He also serves on the board of directors at Boeing, the giant military contractor, and Abbott Laboratories, the global drug company, which has billions of dollars at stake in the overhaul of the health care system. Is that the resume of someone that intends to change Washington? or is this more politics as usual?

You will have to decide, will you support the Democrat business as usual or will you get involved and demand real change.
