Book Review: What You Need to Know About Bible Prophecy by Max Anders

What You Need to Know About Bible Prophecy by Max Anders is a Bible study guide aimed at making sense of Biblical Prophecy. I am always looking for resources to help me teach Biblical lessons to my children at home and Max Anders series of guides are very helpful. They present important information in an easy to read format with questions to discuss at the end of each “lesson”. I have found that these guides work as well for a larger bible study group as it does for my small family.

This guide in particular did not disappoint. Biblical Prophecy is a tough subject to explain and Mr Anders has put together an easy to follow lesson plan to help.  I would recommend this guide for any father that is leading his family in Biblical studies or any church leader that wants to open up this subject for discussion.

Book Review: All Pro Dad By Mark Merrill

All Pro Dad By Mark Merrill is a wonderful instruction book that will inspire any father to want to become an All Pro Dad. Starting with the idea that it takes hard work and discipline to reach the status of an All Pro athlete, Mark Merrill says that if men put that kind of effort in to being fathers that they would see great results in the lives of their children.

The book is broken up into to easy to understand sections that littered with stories and thoughts from many famous fathers. From Tony Dungy to Truett Cathy, you get advice from fathers that know what it is like to raise children in America.

I would recommend this book to any father that is looking for advice to take their game to the next level. God bless you Mark Merrill.

I love how easy the Roku was to set up and use, less then 5 min and I was watching Netflix.

I am also excited about the flexibility of the Roku software and will be making my own personal Roku channels. I see this as a huge plus because it allows for many people to add content to the device.

Book Review – Lies the Government Told You By Andrew Napolitano

Book Description by publisher:
What new crisis will the federal government manufacture in order to acquire more power over individuals? What new lies will it tell?

Throughout our history, the federal government has lied to send our children off to war, lied to take our money, lied to steal our property, lied to gain our trust, and lied to enhance its power over us. Not only does the government lie to us, we lie to ourselves. We won’t admit that each time we let the government get away with misleading us, we are allowing it to increase in size and power and decrease our personal liberty.

In acquiescing to the government’s continuous fraudulent behavior, we bear partial responsibility for the erosion of our individual liberties and the ever-expanding federal regulation of private behavior. This book attacks the culture in government that facilitates lying, and it challenges readers to recognize that culture, to confront it, and to be rid of it.

My review:

I am glad I did not become a lawyer. This book has a ton of lawyer terms and court case siting that it gave me an appreciation for my previous statement. If you are ok with reading through the tough stuff, this book has enough good information to make it worth it. My philosophy is that you can not cure a disease you are not aware of. This book diagnosis what is wrong with our government so we can start working on a cure. Of course Judge Napolitano’s diagnosis is that the government hides behind lies so the cure is to expose those lies and demand the truth.

Some of the really good chapters in this book are the ones on Inalienable rights (Lie #2) and The Federal Reserve (Lie #8). All though every chapter has something good to offer, these two stuck out to me.

Judge Napolitano shows a lot of passion for the subjects he covers and you get the feeling that his heart breaks when the law of the land is not upheld by those that have been elected to uphold that law. I am glad to have him on my side. I recommend that you go get this book, you thank me for it.

Hello world!

Welcome to my blog on what is going on in the United States of America. I will be talking about all sorts of topics from politics, government, religion, sports, current events and anything else that tickles my fancy. I hope to cover historical events from America’s great past and how they should effect our current society. I love my country and hope to see it become the best it can be.

I welcome one and all to join me on this journey. Feel free to comment and let me know what is on your mind. There are only a couple of simple rules when you want to comment. First, watch your language. Cursing is the surest way your voice will not be heard here. Be constructive, if you want to complain about something then offer a solution to the problem. Lastly, be civil. Name calling and personal attacks are the second fastest way to be ignored.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy this blog.
