Obama, making sure his friends get paid

It is now common knowledge that General Electric pays either nothing or very little in federal income tax on the profits it makes. It is also common knowledge that Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of GE, is on the President’s job council and regularly advices the president on business. Crony capitalism is alive and well in the Obama administration.

Not long ago another billionaire businessman snuggled up to the crony in chief, Mark Zuckerburg was seen meeting with the President on numerous events. Today I came across an interesting story:

Even though Facebook (FB) reported $1.1 billion in pre-tax profits from U.S. operations in 2012, it will probably pay zero federal and state taxes—and even receive a federal tax refund of about $429 million—according to a Feb. 14 statement from Citizens for Tax Justice. (source)

I guess it pays to make friends with Obama. Of course this takes money away from the Federal budget and causes our deficit to be at record levels, but who cares about deficits when you can count another billionaire as your friend.

If anyone really thinks Obama is for helping the middle class and wants to take from the “evil rich” to spread the wealth around, you are lying to yourself. Look what the President is doing for spring break, playing golf with middle class hero Tigger Woods. Michelle was so happy about it that her and the girls are in Colorado skiing.

President Obama does not care about the middle class. He does not care about the poor. He definitely does not care about the United States of America. All he cares about is himself. President Obama is just another selfish politician that will say what ever you want to hear so that you will cast your vote for him. He does not care if you are struggling to pay your bills, as long as he gets to rub elbows with famous people like Tigger Woods, Beyonce and Mark Zuckerburg.

Consequences of a “kick the can down the road” administration.

Ever since Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid took control of the US Congress there has been a “kick the can down the road” mind set to dealing with problems. I know that both of them, and the majority of congress, are too old to care about paying the bills for the votes they are buying today, but this style of governing is going to destroy our country.

There was hope that when the GOP took the majority in the House that Mr Boehner would stating making real decisions, that has proven wrong. Once Harry Reid made the decision to not vote on any budget passed by the house, or vote on any budget cut bills, we have been stuck with the status quo created during the DNC majority in congress.

(side note: It is amazing how the media has trained Americans to think of the GOP as the do nothing party when it is the DNC that has done nothing since 2009-2010, when they had control of both houses of congress and the White House)

Now I would like any one that voted for Barack Obama in November to look at their next paycheck. Notice something? That’s right, your taking home less. In order to try and buy votes he got congress to cut employees contribution to Social Security from 6.2% to 4.2%, so we paid less to Social Security for the last two years. As of Jan 1st 2013 our contribution now goes back to 6.2%.

If the President really cared about the middle class that 2% reduction would have been a permanent change,not a 2 year “kick the can” plan.

So for all those that voted for Barack Obama, thank you for the reduction in pay.

Oh, and a little advice, don’t get used to what you make as it will continue to decrease as long as he is President and Harry Reid refuses to bring House bills up for a vote. Once they tax away the wealthy they will come for the middle class and those taxes will increase before long.

Got a letter from the Obama campaign, how disgraceful this campaign is.

Just got an email from Jim Messina from BarackObama.com. It contained a link to a survey that allows people to let the administration know what is important to us. Image my surprise (sarcasm alert) when I saw this question:

Which constituency groups do you identify yourself with? Select all that apply.

  • African Americans
  • Americans Abroad
  • Arab-Americans
  • Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders
  • Educators
  • Environmentalists
  • Healthcare professionals
  • Jewish Americans
  • Labor
  • Latinos
  • LGBT
  • Native Americans
  • People of faith
  • People with disabilities
  • Rural Americans
  • Seniors
  • Small business owners
  • Students
  • Veterans/military families
  • Women
  • Young professionals
  • Youth

This list does nothing but show that this president wants to separate us into little groups he can offer graft to in order to get our approval. He cares nothing for the American people as a whole, only as individual special interest groups.

This administration has been the most divided administration since Lincoln. I see no change in the next 4 years and I fear he will tear us apart.

Best part of the 2012 election cycle…

Today I woke up and had a thought that brought a smile to my face. I will count this thought as the happiest part of the 2012 election cycle. So the thought that I had was that no matter what happens tomorrow, no matter who wins and will be in the President on January 20th is that in 4 years Barack Obama will not be our President.

I know, if Mitt Romney wins then Barry could run again, but I don’t think the Democrats would risk running a looser against the person who bear him. So in 4 years the Democrats would have to run a new candidate and that will show the direction that party plans to go.

If Barack Obama wins, Americans will wait out another 4 years of a bad economy knowing that a new President will take over when he is done. Americans will do all they can to succeed DESPITE the actions of Barack Obama, just like we have tried to do the last 4 years. We did all we could to better our lives, even though we knew he would take credit for any thing positive and push blame to someone else for anything negative, because Americans want to succeed.

God bless America.

Got an email from the President today.

Opened my email this morning and saw an email from our President. I will let you in on my thoughts by commenting inline.

Mike —

Real quick — tonight is the final FEC fundraising deadline of this campaign.

For me as a candidate, it’s my last FEC deadline ever. {Awesome, this brought a smile to my face. I hope we can take this as a pledge he won’t run again after loosing this year.}

I know we’ve asked a lot of you these last 18 months. {You can say that again. I don’t think a day went by with a DNC email begging for money.} But it would mean a lot to me if you could join the more than 4 million Americans who’ve already stepped up to build this campaign, and chip in today. {and yet he does it again}

Any donation, no matter how large or small, {blah, blah, blah.. edited for reality}

If you can, please make a donation of $5 or more before midnight:

{edited out url, no need to use my site a portal to spam}

Thank you — for everything. {because that is what he wants to take from us… everything}

Barack

Who wants to bet this is not the last DNC panhandling email we get?

For the record, I get nearly 1/10th the number of emails from Republicans asking for donations. The DNC is pathetic.

Racism on the left is too common these days.

Where is the outrage and calls for retribution based on blatant racism toward Marc Lamont Hill? When a person publishes a list that signals people out based on skin color, in a negative way, you would think the main stream media would be exposing this blatant example of racism.

Oh, I understand it now. Marc Lamont Hill is a black democrat. The hypocrisy no longer surprises me.

I will let a great American state this much better than I could:

Why I fear for America’s future

Sometimes I come across a comment on WordPress that makes me want to weep for the future of America. Today I came across a post where the author said:

“that our President who has done everything in his power to be conciliatory and has been by all accounts a moderate” (source)

This level of ignorance makes me fear that it is too late for America. When the most left leaning president since LBJ is considered a “moderate” I weep. When the most divisive president since Woodrow Wilson is considered “conciliatory” I weep.

If someone creates a political scale that uses Barack Obama as the middle of the scale JFK would look like a right wing radical. That person will never be able to have an honest discussion on politics, they are too far gone.
