Book Review: Slave by Dr. John MacArthur

Dr. John MacArthur is among one of my favorite preachers, today or ever. What I like best about Dr. MacArthur is his refusal to scratch inching ears and sticks to strict Sola Scriptura. In his new book Slave, Dr. MacArthur takes on the trend to soften our service for Christ. Dr. MacArthur lays open the scripture that shows that we are to be slaves, in the strictest meaning of the word, to Christ and why it is important.

I recommend this book to any Christian that feels that they are looking for a reason to serve more. If you feel that you need motivation to give more of your life to Christ, read this book and you will never doubt your role again.

  1. This is by one of the most profound and life-altering books I’ve ever read in my life. Thank you for the summary. The key point is understanding the relationship with slave/master. We were bought with a hefty price – the very blood of Christ. What is amazing is how we find true freedom in slavery in Christ. That’s amazing. Here’s another post that complements yours. Thank you!
